Top How much does a logo design cost?

This can vary anywhere from $800.00 and up. Some designs will be more complex than others, and obviously take more time. Most cases we will charge hourly, but in certain circumstances we can quote a lump sum. It's also a good idea to have a budget in mind before you call. This is what you get for your money:

  • Hard copies of your design
  • Color Separations if necessary
  • Digital format copies for use as "clip art"
  • Digital format copies suitable for high res printing
  • Digital format copies for use on the Web
Top You use a PC?

Yes!

Top How much does a web site cost?

Depending on who you ask, you can get widely varying numbers. One person might quote you $2000.00, where the next might quote you $20,000.00.

We suggest you plan on spending at least $2000.00. A web site is no different from a brochure, it should promote you and your business/product in a positive light. The advantage to a web site is that it can be changed daily if you like.
There are plenty of people out their who claim to be "web developers". They have a computer and a word processor, and will give you a "web site" for $100.00. Beware.

Top Can I update my own web site?

If you are comfortable writing and debugging code, are aware of the cross platform issues between Unix, Linux and Windows, MAC OS, different protocols such as FTP, HTTP, understand image compression and when to use different formats (JPEG and GIF)....sure.
Otherwise, you might want to leave it up to the "professionals" who spend countless hours up to their ears in this industry.

Top I just bought a book on html. Why do I have pay a web development company for a site when I can do it myself?

When your transmission fails in your car, you might try and save a few bucks fixing it yourself. But how much time will it take? And in the end, what is your time worth?

Your time is better spent running your business. Creating a site that works requires skills of a programmer, graphic artist, and marketer. Unless you possess these skills already, don't waste time trying to learn something that could take you years to understand completely. Leave it up to the experts.

Top What about those companies that will develop my site for $500.00?

Plain and simple. Creating a site that works requires a lot of work, training, experience and education. Putting up a $500 site created by an amateur will only hurt your online reputation.

Would you send out a less than perfect brochure? If the answer is no, then why would you skimp on a web site?.

Your Web site represents your company, and gives your customer a "first impression", and will make or break you.

Top How does web development work exactly? What should I expect?

It depends on the scope of your project. If you are looking at developing a low to medium end site ($2500 - $15,000) we usually follow these steps:

  1. Meet to discuss your online goals. Likes, dislikes, what to include, etc. Register domain name, set up server space, deal with administrative issues involved, among others.
  2. Next, we go through the initial creative process. This allows us to address navigational issues - color palette, the purpose of the site - and all in all, it guarantees that the customer will be able to get the info they need.
  3. Web design process begins. We create a site map, and a mock up of how we see the site layout. We run it by the client, and make the appropriate changes.
  4. Finalize development
  5. Implementation - upload site to server, test, launch.
  6. Last, but certainly not least, Marketing.

Instead of pounding on the door (traditional sales) - the customer is coming to the house! How do you get them there? How do you make them stay? How do you make them buy your couch?

This is where an online marketing plan/strategy takes over. There is a road to take - and our online marketing team makes sure the customer has great directions!
